This has been a good week.
Beautiful weather, great hockey game on Monday (Preds won 4-1), Darcy Hordichuk show on Tuesday, cleaned out the garage today (that's a good thing).
And I got my laser printer for my business. Whee!

Preds and Puppies!
Today The Tennessean has a great article about Predators players and their dogs of choice.
Pups find place in Preds hearts
It's pretty adorable....which I think was the point.

Yay, Preds!
I love my preds. They won their game against Toronto last night -- tons o' fun. I was at the game, and the win put me in an extra-happy good mood. [happy sigh . . .]
Oh, and add another player to the list of preds with nicknames ending in a 'y' sound. Sheldon Brookbank, recently called up from Milwaukee to help out while Tootoo is injured, has been dubbed "Brookie" by Coach Trotz.
Update on the cat-in-the-lap situation: I am getting a very angry look from Loa the cat because I keep moving. She even nipped at my hand once. I told her she could get off my lap if she was uncomfortable, but, well, you know how much good it does to try to reason with a cat.

It's Hard to Type with a Cat in Your Lap ...
I don't know if she's snuggly, cold, jealous of the computer, or some combination of all three, but my cat keeps hopping into my lap. This poses a small difficulty for me, as I also have my notebook computer on my lap.
It's pretty hard to type with my arms stretch across the cat, but she is just so cute -- all curled up and sleepy -- that I hate to move her. I wish I could take a picture for you, but I would have to move the cat to get a camera, and that would defeat the purpose.
I'm working on my business this morning, looking up hosting packages, designing promo material, etc. I think I'll be able to post a temporary web site over the next couple of days.

I love my 'hood.
I love East Nashville. I've had a really great time visiting local places over the past couple of days.
Today Ariana and I went shopping at V Floral and Gift. I found these awesome glitter earrings that made me feel truly outrageous (like Jem), plus a silver star pendant necklace, for a total of $15. Quite the indulgence for me, but not a painful price.
Next door to V is the Pied Piper Creamery, which is due to open within the next couple of weeks. I think it is going to be terrific! Home ice cream and shakes, yummmmmm.
I went to Batter'd and Fried a couple of nights ago to watch a Predators game. To my delight, I found some great, new menu items, such as the Ragin' Cajun Pasta and the Bread and Butter basket. That particular night I had the hot chocolate, peculiarly served in a beer stein with a large dose of whipped cream. It was just what the cold evening needed.
Oh, and a couple of weeks ago Paul treated me to breakfast at Marche for my birthday. Wow. You must go try it. We shared a bread basket and a quiche and each got our own croissant and hot chocolate. Lovely. And, I might add, the bread was served with a variety of spreads, including Nutella.
